Congratulations to the 2023 AAM Award Winners
Following our second ever Awards ceremony, held at Crowbar on Gadigal Land / Sydney in April, it's with great pleasure we share with you the 2023 AAM Award winners.
These managers represent a variety of incredible talent in Australian music, across Lime Cordiale, Hoodoo Gurus, Gretta Ray, Sheppard, ONEFOUR, Sampology, Casey Barnes, Blusher and more:

Ricky Simandjuntak, When Worlds Collide
Andrew Stone had a huge 12 months with Lime Cordiale, Teenage Dads and Casey Barnes selling out tours both locally and abroad, Casey Barnes taking home an ARIA award in 2022 and 4 songs by Lime Cordiale and Teenage Dads featuring in Triple J’s hottest 100.
Charlotte Ried has seen success with both Blusher and Gretta Ray who she co-manages with Jamie-Rose Fowler. Blusher having recently signed to Atlantic/Warner, and Gretta Rays audience has grown exponentially over the past 12 months. She also saw success with Polish Club, who secured a sync with the NRL/NRLW 2023 season.
Jane Slingo, who manages Sampology and Middle Name Dance Band, led 12 months of consultation across the NSW music sector, and collaboratively developed the Vote Music Policy Paper and election campaign. She also designed and executed the ‘Cultural Union’ program as part of the UK Australia season, which funded 5 Australian acts to go to the UK to perform, write and collaborate. In addition, Jane designed and implemented ‘Little Peeps, Big Beats’ – electronic music therapy and school holiday program for children living with disability.
Michael McMartin (OAM) helped found the AAM in 2007, and has since 1985 managed the careers of Hoodoo Gurus and also managers producers Charles Fischer and Wayne Connelly, as well as founding independent record company Trafalgar Records in 1971.
Ricky Simandjuntak's track record includes discovering Sampa the Great, developing global pop star The Kid Laroi, discovering, developing, and managing Australia's most culturally impactful rap group ONEFOUR, and being a highly respected voice in Western Sydney's burgeoning music scene.
In addition, the 2023 APRA AMCOS Lighthouse Award winner was revealed to be Simone Ubaldi of Sundowner Artists. Simone was the inaugural recipient of the Manager Of The Year Award at last years AAM Awards, and manages the careers of Amyl & The Sniffers, Grace Cummings, Nice Biscuit, Baby Cool and Girl & Girl.
