Presented by Oztix, the 2024 AAM Awards celebrated the outstanding achievements of Australian artist managers, highlighting the global success, hard work, dedication and passion of the key figures behind our Australian artists' global and local success.
Now in it’s third year, this year’s invite-only ceremony was held at lunchtime on Wednesday 1st May at
Crowbar on Gadigal land. It featured special guest performances and was hosted by the wonderful Myf Warhurst.

AAM Members who meet the eligibility criteria (as outlined in the section below) for Manager of the Year, Breakthrough Manager of the Year or the Community Engagement Award were required to self-nominate for this year’s awards, providing key information about their achievements in the past 12 months. Applications are then assessed by the Awards judging panel, alongside the AAM executive team, who determine the shortlist finalists and winners in these categories.

The 2024 Legacy Award winner is determined by the AAM Board, and the 2024 Patrons Gift Award is curated and presented by the AAM Patrons.

The 2024 APRA AMCOS Lighthouse Award winner will also be presented as part of the 2024 AAM Awards ceremony.

2024 Awards Categories


Manager of the Year

Eligibility 

  • Must be a current AAM member

  • Must have been operating as an artist manager for 3+ years

  • Must have completed all sections of the submission form for nomination to be considered by the judging panel 

Criteria 

The judging panel will assess submissions based on the following:

  • The level of growth in the business of the manager and its roster of artists across all key areas of the entertainment industry in the past 12 months. This includes recorded music, live touring, publishing, press, radio, social media, brand partnerships, collaborations and any other achievements noted in the submission

  • The Innovative, creative and non-traditional strategies employed by the manager to achieve this growth

  • The long-term sustainability of the managers business and the artists businesses they are managing 

  • The manager consistently demonstrating professionalism through their work, in line with the AAM’s Code of Conduct

Community Engagement Award

Eligibility

  • Must have completed all sections of the submission form for nomination to be considered by the judging panel 

Criteria 

Those who are self-nominating will be asked to provide details of up to 3 key achievements and/or contributions from the past 12 months specifically, that demonstrates their contribution to the greater good - culturally, environmentally, socially and/or politically. In addition, you will be invited to share any further information you wish to include for consideration by the judging panel that you feel would support your nomination (this may include: details not covered in other questions, references who can attest to your accomplishments or contributions to the music community, and any other insights you believe could strengthen your candidacy, etc). In addition, nominees will be expected to have consistently demonstrated professionalism through their work, in line with the AAM’s Code of Conduct.
