Are you an artist manager? Perhaps you are and don't even know it? Perhaps you are, and are navigating a vast industry feeling quite isolated and alone? Come and join us at the Association of Artist Managers (AAM), the peak body for artist managers in Australia. We're a tight-knit community of managers who support each other with advice, guidance, leads, tips and discussions. The AAM is also an organisation who represents your interests at a leadership level with our peers in the industry, and at a government level with the decision makers of this country. With over 400 Australian manager members, many working around the globe, the AAM's community represents over 1000 Australian artists and songwriters, including the biggest names in Australian music - Paul Kelly, Tones and I, Tame Impala, Vance Joy, G Flip, Courtney Barnett, Amyl & The Sniffers, Rufus Du Sol, Flight Facilities, The Teskey Brothers, The Temper Trap, Thelma Plum, Ball Park Music, Peking Duk, Birds of Tokyo, Gang of Youths, Sampa The Great, Matt Corby, Lime Cordiale, The Rubens, Julia Jacklin, Kate Miller-Heidke, Daniel Johns, Montaigne, Powderfinger, Eskimo Joe, Sarah Blasko, Jebediah, Spiderbait and many more.
Another benefit of becoming an AAM member is that you have access to a range of Professional Development programs to strengthen your skills and boost your confidence levels. Key professional development programs and activities include; Co-Pilot Mentorship Program, First Nations Mentorship, Gimme Shelter Mental Health Program, Fast-track Fellowship (international program), Music Passport Program (international program), regional-specific development programs (including Walk This Way in Gold Coast and the NSW round tables), GROW (improving business skills for womxn), REVIVE (specialised mid-tier business development) and many more. We also regularly hold professional development webinars and state-based and national management networking events.
The AAM is a current member of the International Music Managers Forum (IMMF) and an affiliate of the European Music Managers Alliance (EMMA). Through these connections we've been able to help our members with international networks, problem-solving and advocacy.
The AAM receives very minimal funding support and relies on membership fees to be effective. There are a number of membership tiers available that are designed to match manager's current skills, experience and needs within the industry. See below for further information, and to join.

Our organisation is not resourced at this point in time to support self-managed artists, either solo or groups, who only manage their own project. However, this is something we are exploring, so please keep an eye on our socials from time to time. If you are a self-managing artist who also manages other act(s) in addition to your own, you are welcome to join the AAM.
